Andrew Dawrs is the Founder of Akamai Business Advisors. Growing up in a family of private practice healthcare practitioners and blue-collar business owners that are staples in their communities, Andrew has seen first hand the daily highs and lows of running a local business. Building his career at the intersection of financial services and technology, Andrew saw the need that local businesses have for strategic industry tailored accounting. Andrew started Akamai to serve business owners with the same dedication they serve our communities.

Outside the office, Andrew is an avid scuba diver, a lifelong passion picked up from his upbringing in Hawai’i. However, laying roots in Chicago means that city adventures and discovering all that the Great Lakes have to offer have replaced the island adventures in his day-to-day life.
